Mpampis Varitimidis

Mpampis Varitimidis is an athlete competing at a high level. His personal moto is that if you want to achieve something in life or sports, you have to be willing to put a lot of effort in it, and that is how he rolls. He set the Greek record in Javelin throw, which remains unbroken ever since 2008. Mpampis is also dominant at the Greek National Championships over the years, taking home 8 gold medals, 4 silver and 5 bronze in Javelin Throw, Discus Throw and Hammer Throw.

Even after those records his desire for sport remained strong, that’s why he took up professional Basketball. He played for the wheelchair basketball Team of Larisa that won 3 Greek cups in their league and he is currently playing for the team of Aris in Thessaloniki.
